One week to go
Training's been going good. There aren't any training schedules for 8-milers so I've been using a 10K training schedule. I started out alternating running 1/4 mile (at 4.5mph) and walking 1/4 mile. I have improved to running 1/2-3/4 mile (at 5mph) and walking 1/4 mile. The longest I've run at once now is 2 miles (on a treadmill), the first time I have ever run that far in my life! I'm pretty proud of the progress we've made, especially considering how I'm a non-runner and my running partner just had a baby 4 months ago. We're awesome!
